Having the degree of graduation from recognised university is the basic qualification for ASM. But if you have the additional diploma in rail management or management degree would be preferable by RRB.

For preliminary Exam: Two Papers will be there. Paper - 1 - GK and paper -II your subject. For the General Studies - reference Books are : CBSE Books from STD 6 to STD 12, General Knowledge Book Published by the TATA McGraw Hill Publication, Book published by the GOI book Name is India 2010. News Paper like The Hindu, The New Indian Express etc for Current affairs.

For the Subject :

Please give importance to your Under Graduate Text Book. But take notes / hints and study . This will be useful for your main examination.

Dear All,

Regarding RRB exam, Normally they will take three to four months time to conduct the Written Exam. But, meantime you can check your application status, by giving the your Roll no and date of Birth. I am not sure that all the RRB is providing this facility. But RRB chennai is providing this facility. If the application is rejected by the RRB then that will be intimated to the candidate through the Letter.

So don't worry about that. Prepare well and do well the exam.

Gulshan, i also confused when i got this call letter. i am from satara but exam centre assigned by RRB is Nagpur. But no problem i have to attend LIC ADO exam on same date at satara. so i wont give the exam of ado.

As per your case, you have to stay in INDIA first because you have just finished your B-Tech (CS Dept.)
just 2-3 year you have to take an industrial Experience and then go abroad.
But in case if you want to go abroad so according to me, Canada is the best place for Network Engineer's or you can also search in google for the same.
