[Sarkari-Naukri] Re: Bank Exams
some suggestions
first english is not like other subject where a preparation of one
month is enuf..in english what you kno is right from standard one to
graduation ..grammar ,vocab ,comprehension etc etc...
so u need atleast 2-3 months to fully prepare for english for any
competitive exams.
The first thing is basic grammars you need to know..refer wren and
martin book for grammar.or oxford english grammar..clear your grammar
first ..
simultaneously you can improve your vocabulary....
vocabulary books are
norman lewis's =1.word power made easy
2=30 days of better vocabulary
3.=how to read better and faster
4.maxwell nurnberg and morris rosenbums's -how to build better
vocabulary
after reading all these books...u r almost done wid your vocab
For english usage you can read manhattan's grammar book..very good for
competitive exams..
now for comprehension you need to practice..practice with books
like
1.objective english by rs aggarwal
2.time material
or any other good comprehension material with wide range of topics...
3.read news paper daily ..preferably hindu editorial
After completing all these you shud start practice model papers and
previous papers of banks...atleast 1 months...
..
after 3 months of rigorous practice you can easily crack any bank po
exam...
one advice: i hav not given any bank exam but one of my friend has
given so many and she has qualified written in all exams...she also
cleared the bank of india final interivew..her first attempt and she
got through...
she says tat for banking exam are easy to crack..you need to practice
and nothing else...Solve one set daily ..check your progress and
rectify mistakes...and you are through...
thats it...
hope it wud b useful to you worth the time spend on typing this
much...
