TATA McGraw Hill had published a General Knowledge Book for Competitive Exam. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had Published a Year Book in the Name " India - 2010". This will be use full for the Gk. But apart from that, I would Suggest  Please read the Daily News paper for Example - Middle Page for Editorial, Next Page is Expert View or Interview with Experts, Next page is National Level Next page is World and next page is Business and next is Sports Coloum ( This is u can see it in the The Hindu). This will help u to clear any type of Competitive Exam.
